BIRDSEYE REVOLUTIONIZES PRODUCT INVENTORY MANAGEMENT

A Midway-gated, streamlined, self-service system offering real-time high visibility ad placement reserving, scheduling, and inventory management.


THE OPPORTUNITY

In Q1 2022, the Marquee Ad Placements team approached us with a challenge: stakeholders were spending an average of 60 hours per week managing Homepage Hero, On Package Advertising (OPA), and Product Sampling campaign management, and needed a solution to streamline cumbersome and time-consuming communication channels.

THE IDEA

In October 2022, CAPT UX launched BirdsEye, a web-based system to streamline US H1 management campaign bookings. BirdsEye replaced a disjointed system of email chains, SIMs, Quip links, and Salesforce tickets with a Midway-gated system for easy collaboration and approvals.

THE RESULTS

By streamlining approvals, tracking, and related file management, we cut the 60 hour weekly time investment down to 3.

We designed the tool to easily evolve and support future ad management programs. By Feb 2023, BirdsEye support extended from the US to global teammates. By Q3 2023, we empowered teams to book and manage OPA (boxes, bags, polymailers, etc.) product inventory. BirdsEye was built to easily evolve and support even future ad management programs.

V1 Features included:

  • Consolidating placement requests, communications, files, and approvals into a single tool

  • An Interactive calendar with ability to search by keyword(s) or filter

  • Visually based, “quick-get” status snapshots

  • Auto-triggered email notifications for required actions

  • Optional, customizable permission settings
